Offshore platform operating conditions include: marine salt spray corrosion, typhoon vibration, wave turbulence, confined space, explosion-proof and flame-retardant requirements, high pressure and high temperature, and multiple environments underwater, on deck, and inside the tank. Pipe fittings (elbows, tees, reducers, flanges, compensators, blind flanges, filters, pipe caps, bends, joints, supports, etc.) are core components of the platform's process systems, utilities, fire protection, water supply and drainage, oil and gas storage and transportation, LNG supporting facilities, and instrument pipelines, running through the entire process of production, storage, transportation, and safety emergency response.

1. Specific Applications of Various Pipe Fittings on Offshore Platforms

1. Elbows and Bends: Used for turning and bypassing pipes on and off platform decks, in compartments, and equipment rooms, solving problems related to limited platform space and dense pipe layouts; Dedicated for subsea pipelines moving onto platforms, riser bends, and pipe rack bridging; Suitable for process oil and gas, seawater, fire protection, diesel, and compressed air pipelines; Made of corrosion-resistant alloy steel and duplex stainless steel, resistant to marine salt spray corrosion.

2. Tees (Equal Diameter/Reducing Tees)
Oil and Gas Gathering and Transportation: Collects oil and gas from multiple wells into a main pipe, or branches the main pipe to processing equipment, storage tanks, and external pipelines.
Utility Branching: Branch lines for fire protection mains, seawater cooling systems, and domestic water/sewage networks.
Ventilation, sewage discharge, and sampling branch pipe connections; essential for platform process piping networks.

3. Reducers (Concentric/Eccentric Reducers)
Diameter adaptation for pipes to wellheads, separators, pumps, compressors, and flow meters.
Regulates medium flow rate and pressure, stabilizing oil and gas transportation conditions.
Eccentric reducers prevent liquid and gas accumulation, avoid disturbances in the two-phase flow of oil and gas, and reduce platform vibration and cavitation.

4. Flanges (butt-welded, necked, high-pressure insulated flanges)

High-strength, detachable seals between pipelines and equipment, valves, and pipe sections; no pipeline cutting required for offshore maintenance.
Insulated flanges: Isolate subsea pipelines from the platform steel structure, preventing stray current corrosion.
High-pressure flanges are suitable for high-pressure oil and gas conditions at wellheads, providing leak-proof and explosion-proof seals.
5. End caps, pipe caps, blind flanges
Pipeline end sealing; pre-installed interfaces for future expansion.
Platform system segmental maintenance isolation; temporary sealing; isolation of process compartments from utility compartments.
Spare pipe opening sealing; prevents seawater, salt spray, and debris from entering the pipeline and causing corrosion and blockage.
6. Y-type/basket filters
Filter crude oil, natural gas, seawater, and cooling water for welding slag, silt, rust, and solid impurities.
Protect platform compressors, pumps, flow meters, valves, and heat exchangers from wear and blockage.
Installed at equipment inlets, seawater intakes, and upstream of process main pipes; allows for online cleaning.
7. Threaded joints, socket fittings, instrument fittings; platform instrument pressure guide pipes, sampling pipes, small-diameter precision connections for pneumatic control lines; sealing joints for hydraulic systems and chemical injection lines, shockproof, anti-loosening, and vibration-resistant.
