Oil & Gas
Pipe fittings include: elbows, tees, reducers, flanges, end caps, pipe caps, bends, connecting pipes, supports, valves, compensators, blind flanges, steam traps, filters, joints, reducers, etc. These are essential basic components for oil and gas storage and transportation, LNG receiving terminals, storage tanks, pipelines, gasification stations, and long-distance pipelines, spanning the entire process of gathering, storage, liquefaction, transportation, distribution, and emergency response.
I. Overall Core Functions
Pipeline Route Changes: Turns, inclines, road crossings, river crossings, bypassing structures
Media Diversion/Merging: Main branch lines, multiple pipelines converging at the station
Pipe Diameter Changes: Pressure regulation, speed regulation, adapting to equipment interfaces
Sealing Connections: Removable seals between pipelines and equipment, between pipelines
Pressure Buffering, Thermal Expansion/Contraction Compensation: Preventing pipeline cracking and deformation
Filtration, Sewage Discharge, Interception, Venting, Emergency Shutdown
LNG Cryogenic Condition Special Adaptation: Resistant to ultra-low temperatures, cold insulation, leak prevention, brittle fracture resistance
II. Specific Applications of Various Pipe Fittings (By Scenario: Crude Oil/Natural Gas Long-Distance Transportation LNG Storage and Transportation)
1. Elbows, Bends
Change pipeline transport direction to meet network layout, site planning, and terrain crossing requirements
LNG System Special Cryogenic Elbows: Resistant to -162℃ ultra-low temperatures, made of stainless steel and 9% nickel steel, preventing low-temperature brittleness, with cold insulation and heat insulation components
2. Tees (Equal Diameter/ 3. Reducing Tees
Branching: Branch lines branch off from the main pipeline to storage tanks, vaporizers, gas stations, and industrial users.
Merging: Multiple gathering and transmission pipelines converge at the main station and processing plant.
LNG Receiving Station: Branching of the main inlet and outlet pipelines for storage tanks, and branching of the BOG evaporation gas collection network.
4. Reducers (Concentric, Eccentric Reducers)
Pipe diameter changes in stages to regulate medium flow rate and pressure.
Adapts to different diameter equipment interfaces: storage tank inlets, pump inlets, vaporizers, valve interfaces.
Eccentric reducers are used to prevent liquid and gas accumulation, and to prevent LNG two-phase flow and gas-liquid stagnation.
5. Flanges (Flat Welding, Butt Welding, Necked, Cryogenic Flanges)
Removable and sealing connections between pipelines and equipment, pipelines and valves, and pipe sections.
Facilitates maintenance, disassembly, and equipment replacement without cutting the entire pipe section.
LNG-Specific Cryogenic High-Pressure Flanges: Extremely strong sealing performance, resistant to low temperatures, prevents micro-leakage, and suitable for flammable and explosive media.
6. End Caps / Pipe Caps / Blind flanges
Pipeline end sealing, reserved interfaces
Temporary isolation and sealing of branch lines during pipeline segment maintenance
Sealing of LNG storage tank auxiliary pipeline ends and spare pipe openings to prevent moisture from entering the insulation layer
7. Filters, Y-type/basket filter fittings
Filtering impurities, welding slag, rust, and solid particles from crude oil, natural gas, and LNG liquids
Protecting compressors, LNG cryogenic pumps, vaporizers, flow meters, and valves from wear and blockage
Essential pre-installed fittings for stations, valve chambers, and storage tank inlets
8. Threaded joints, socket fittings, quick couplings
Small-diameter instrument pipes, pressure guiding pipes, sampling pipes, and chemical dosing pipeline connections
Precision piping sealing for LNG refueling stations and on-site instrument control systems
